PEERS, FEARS, FIERCE

“Wag mong gawin yan, ganito dapat!”, “Ganito ka dapat, ganyan ka dapat!”, “Tara! Cutting na lang! Walang kwenta subject!

As we, teens, grow older, our environment changes also. We meet different kinds of people. Some will just pass by, some will affect us and some will change our whole life. And it’s up to us if we let them change us or influence us in a positive or negative ways. Sometimes, we let others influence us because we want to be in or maybe we want something new for our self or, also, we think that if we do what others are doing or do what our peers have told us, we are directing ourselves into the right track. But the question is, ARE YOU HAPPY WITH THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING?

One of the things that teens, or even adults, are going to experience is PEER PRESSURE. Sometimes, in our life, making decision is the hardest thing to do. And in this time of our life, our peers will try to influence us on how we should act and what decision to make. Even if it’s not the thing we wanna do, still, sometime we listen to what others are saying because we think that that is the right thing to do.

Peer pressure can affect us in a positive or negative way. Positive in such a way that when it allows us to explore our hidden talents that we have in our body. Negative in a way when we are force to do thing that might cause damage to our future.

Above all, we must not let our peers make decisions for us. I know that as a teen, we need friends to support us in every decision we make, to sometimes clear the vision we have for a certain situation, because sometimes, our friend sees what we can’t see because we our blinded by our emotions but we must not let them make decisions for us. Even if we comes up with a  wrong decision, if that thing makes us happy even in a split second, we must not regret that. Atleast, we’ve learned our lesson to that. If we comes up with a positive result, then so be it. Pursue it. Do everything to make that thing last. If that thing makes you happy, then don’t let anyone affects you. Don’t let anyone tells you what to do because at the end of the day, IT’S STILL YOU WHO KNOWS YOUR OWN HAPPINESS.
